When I went on my first cruise, I spent far too much time wondering what was included in the price of the cruise. I did not even know enough to not worry about it. As I will explain, there is a very easy way to know if something is included or if you will be billed for it.
Cruises are not very expensive trips when you factor in all the things that are included with it. You are certainly going to be set for food for a long while. I once put on 9 pounds in a week on a cruise. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that many ships have special dining rooms where you pay extra to eat there. Your regular dining room seating will be clearly designated and everything that you order there except for any alcohol will be included.
The only thing that you consume that you will have to pay for is bottled water, soda pop, and alcohol. Some ships will charge extra for ice cream so watch for that as well.
In addition, most of the cruise ship organized activities will be included. This will be noted in the newsletter that is delivered to your stateroom each night. Any activities that cost extra will be noted in that newsletter. You might see the words, "nominal Charge applies"
The other notable activities that you will have to pay for is anything having to do with gambling. This will include the casino and the bingo. And although it is not gambling, you will have to pay for the arcade.
